HGTV’s 2016 Smart Home features The Silk Thumb’s plants and designs
We worked with Chicago’s Interior Designer and HGTV Host, Tiffany Brooks to create the silk plant designs for the 1.2 million dollar smart home in Raleigh, North Carolina. See our everlasting beautiful plants & trees throughout the most advanced home in HGTV history.
I want to tell you about the very exciting opportunity The Silk Thumb had at the end of last year. We have recently worked with Chicago’s Interior Designer and HGTV Host, Tiffany Brooks, on a few projects in 2015. After a job well done Tiffany asked me if I would like to be involved with The 2016 HGTV Smart Home. Tiffany was the chosen interior designer to decorate the whole home from top to bottom and she wanted The Silk Thumb to design and install all the plants and trees for the home.
For those of you who do not know about the HGTV Smart Homes series, each year a new state of the art home is built and one person is chosen from a Sweepstakes to win the ENTIRE home! This year the home was built in Raleigh, North Carolina and is the most advanced home in HGTV history. The winner will be announced this July! The winner receives the 3,300 square foot 1.2 million dollar ultra modern home and all it’s decor…including OUR plants!
In January I flew out to Raleigh to install our silk plants, flowers and trees throughout the home including both the large covered porch and screened in porch. Our plants were a smashing success! Tiffany was thrilled with the abundance of color and quality we delivered. Our ferns flank the doorway to the home and create splashes of color at every corner.
We are so pleased and excited about the exposure this will bring to The Silk Thumb! Showing the nation the quality of our products and craftsmanship of our designs.
HGTV will be airing the HGTV Smart Home and giving you a tour. Tune in to see our greenery on TV!
