The Silk Thumb opened its doors in January of 1980. For the past 3 decades we have specialized in creating unique interior design utilizing the world’s finest artificial flowers, plants and trees for our business and residential clients.

Over the years The Silk Thumb has been the subject of numerous articles in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, the North Shore’s Pioneer Press and North Shore Magazine. Chicago television stations, CBS and ABC have both featured “Silk Thumb” on their respective news broadcasts. We are referred to as a “North Shore experience” due to our innovative couture designs, our extensive selection of floral stems, and impressive artisan vases in our gallery.

The Silk Thumb is a special business and has been a part of my life for many years.  There is nothing that pleasures me more then all of our satisfied customers who rave how much they still love their arrangements.  We bring the newest and latest in floral design to you!  If you sign up for a house call or corporate call, I will personally come out to your location and begin discussing with you the goals you are trying to achieve with our arrangements, plants and trees. The Silk Thumb designers and I will continue to meet your needs and exceed your expectations.
